1.) Create library “EASY400” on your system using the CRTLIB command as shown in Exhibit A. Note: Use F4 to prompt all commands.

If you received EASY400 on a CD then follow the instructions for loading it that came with the disk. If you received EASY400 from a save file (either via FTP or e-mail) then please follow the instructions as outlined below:
2.) Unzip the software using WinZip. If you do not have WinZip you can download it for free at http://www.winzip.com.
3.) Sign on to the AS/400 and create user profile “SIMMGROUP” which will have the authority needed to use EASY400. The AS/400 command to do this is “CRTUSRPRF USRPRF(SIMMGROUP) PASSWORD(password) INLPGM(*NONE) USRCLS(*PGMR)”.
4.) To upload the save file on your AS/400 you must first create the save file on the target AS/400. Use command CRTSAVF and enter in the parameters as demonstrated in Exhibit B.

5.) Upload the save file to your AS/400 using FTP by performing the following:
1. On the PC, click the Start button on the Taskbar, and then select Run. The Run prompt displays.
2. At the Run dialog, type ftp and click OK. A DOS-style window will display with the prompt ftp> to indicate that FTP is running.
3. At the ftp> prompt, type open and press enter. FTP responds with: To
4. At the To prompt, type the name of your AS/400 system and press enter. FTP responds with:
Connected to system-name.
220-QTCP at system-name.
220 Connection will close if idle more than 5 minutes.

5. At the User prompt, type your AS/400 user id and press “enter”. FTP responds with:

9. At the (local-file) prompt, type the full path to the file EASYSAVF which you decompressed using WinZip. For example, if the save file is in the temp (temporary) directory on your C: drive, you would type the following:

10. At the (remote-file) prompt, type EASY400 /EASYSAVF and press enter. FTP responds with:

11. At the ftp> prompt, type quit and press enter.
12. Close the MS-DOS Prompt window.
6.) Now you can restore the objects from the save file to library EASY400 by signing on to the AS/400 with user profile SIMMGROUP and using the RSTOBJ command as demonstrated in Exhibit D.

7.) Copy command “EZ” to library QGPL from library EASY400 using command CRTDUPOBJ as demonstrated in Exhibit E. After this, you are done with the setup! Type "EZ" from a command line to start using EASY400.
